Guests will learn the basic easy steps to a Point and Shoot (compact) camera and the best ways to photograph butterflies. Taught by professional photographer, Lisa Langell, this session is perfect for the casual photographer who wants to improve their skills without the complication of using complicated settings or investing in expensive gear. Via a combination of classroom instruction and supported, hands-on practice time inside the Conservatory, Langell will share 10 effective techniques that will help you photograph butterflies. (For general public, admission to BW included and can be converted to Membership).

What to bring: Compact Camera, User Manual (downloadable from manufacturer's website), memory card(s), and charged battery. No tripods please.

Scottsdale resident Lisa Langell is an award-winning wildlife photographer with an international following. She is known for her signature wildlife images that artfully capture breathtaking, split-second moments. An avid birdwatcher at the impressionable age of eight, Lisa found that her love of birds expanded into a genuine passion for the photography of all wildlife and the natural world.

Lisa’s artwork has earned recognition and awards from the National Wildlife Federation, North American Nature Photographer’s Association, Professional Photographer’s Association, Arizona Highways, and more.

Cost:

$45 for those with Founder’s Memberships or Annual Passes and $55 for the general public
